Alfonso ‘El Tigre’ Lopez eyes Yarde and Kovalev

The pride of Texas Alfonso 'El Tigre' Lopez (33-3 24KO’s) fights Columbian Alex Theran (21-3 14KO’s) at the Lone Star Convention Center July 13th.

Lopez is currently on an 8 fight winning streak, recently stopping Melvin Russell in the 5th round April 6th. Lopez is not looking past his Columbian challenger (Theran) but has his eyes are set on massive fights in the near future. WBO World champion Sergey ‘Krusher’ Kovalev and mandatory challenger Anthony ‘The Beast’ Yarde are both fights that Lopez believes he can win.

"Both Yarde and Kovalev are both dangerous guys. But I'm driven by elite competition. It's what boils my blood. I'm ready" Lopez said

Kovalev has had many names thrown in the mix for his next fight including Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Anthony Yarde, but nothing has materialised as of yet.

It is going to be hard for the elite light heavyweight champions to ignore the talented Lopez should he climb the ranks and win the NABO light heavyweight title on July 13th.

Lopez will also be defending his (NBA) National Boxing Association and (ABO) American Boxing Organization titles July 13th.

The fight will be streamed live via El Tigre Promotions Facebook page, contact them for tickets.
