Boxing TV's Dan Hewitt speaks with rising British heavyweight star Fabio Wardley.
Fabio Wardley (7-0 6KO's) is set to impress on the Dillian Whyte Vs Oscar Rivas undercard at the 02 arena tomorrow night. Dan Hewitt caught up with the banger from Ipswich.
Dan: How has preparation gone?
Wardley: Preparation has gone really, me and the team have been through the whole training camp process a few times over now and we’re really refining it all and getting the best out of me.
Dan: What do you know about your opponent?
Wardley: In short... not much lol. I know he’s a tough Argentinian thats only been stopped once, he comes to fight and likes to get involved. Which is exactly the kind of test I need!
Dan: How does it feel yet again to be on a massive card at the 02?
Wardley: A privilege, always! I always feel so honoured and lucky to be apart of massive events like this because not that long ago I was just a spectator on the other side of it all, so it’s great.
Dan: Are titles close should you win this fight?
Wardley: Definitely! They’re very close, difficultly comes in finding an opponent on the other end who is also eligible for a title, but I believe I’ll have some silverware before the end of the year.
Dan: Who is your biggest domestic threat?
Wardley: Biggest domestic threat at the moment is probably Daniel Dubois, he proved last week that he’s a threat to anyone in the division. Even though I’m still quite far behind him, he’s the one leading the pack of the new school at the moment.
Thanks for speaking with us Fabio and good luck to both of you.
